Powerful Presenting - Thursday, 6th March 2025 @ Bagden Hall, HD8 8SZ (9:30am-4:30pm)
Powerful Presenting is an interactive, engaging presentation skills day. Get ready to challenge your public speaking anxiety, boost your confidence, refine your communication and presentation skills and put them into practice - in a safe and supportive environment.
Presenting and public speaking can be daunting for many. This day is tailored to the needs of the people in the room to help you take your next steps in a safe and supportive environment. Who knows – it might even be a bit fun!
We will explore:
Common triggers of public speaking anxiety and how to combat them;
utilising nerve-management techniques, physical and vocal strategies to project confidence when presenting or pitching;
how to structure a powerful presentation, harnessing the power of narrative structure, storytelling and avoiding death-by-PowerPoint;
how to use language and rhetoric for impact, inspired by great speakers, past and present;
opportunities to practise delivering in a safe space and receive expert feedback from an award-winning speaker.
If you’re ready to enjoy a day full of learning, networking and the experience of exploring your presentation skills in a safe and supportive environment - we look forward to seeing you on the day!
